What is Hind HSMC?
Hind HSMC is a ready-to-use, free-flow, non-shrink cementitious Micro Concrete designed for high-strength structural concrete repair applications.
Supplied in powder form, Hind HSMC is mixed with water and suitable coarse aggregate to produce a free-flowing, non-shrink and high-strength repair concrete conforming to BS 4551:1980.
Its free-flow characteristics make it particularly suitable for repair areas where conventional concrete placement and vibration are difficult. The material can be used for repairing damaged reinforced concrete members and replacing deteriorated cover concrete.
It is especially suitable for structural repair of columns and beams through encasement, jacketing and similar repair techniques.

Application Method
How to Apply Micro Concrete

Surface Preparation
Chip off loose and damaged concrete. Exposed reinforcement should be properly cleaned and de-rusted.

Reinforcement Treatment
Apply a suitable anti-corrosive coating to the cleaned reinforcement and an appropriate bonding coat to the prepared concrete surface.

Mixing
Dry mix the micro concrete powder and coarse aggregate thoroughly, then slowly add the mixture to pre-measured water and mix until a uniform, free-flowing consistency is achieved.

Pouring & Placement
Pour or pump the mixed material into the gap between the concrete member and shuttering. Conventional vibration is not required; gentle tamping may be used if necessary.
Recommended Mixing
Micro Concrete Mixing Ratio
Powder : Coarse Aggregate 1 : 0.5 to 0.75
Water : Powder Ratio 0.21
Use 12 mm down, silt-free stone aggregate. The powder and coarse aggregate should first be dry-mixed thoroughly before being added slowly to the pre-measured water.
Pouring & Placement
Free-Flow Structural Repair
The prepared micro concrete can be poured manually or pumped into the space between the existing concrete member and shuttering. According to the product technical data sheet (TDS), it is suitable for placement thicknesses between approximately 40 mm and 125 mm. No conventional vibration is required, except for gentle tamping with a lightweight tool when needed.

Consumption Approx. 12 Litres
25 kg of HIND HSMC yields approximately 12 litres of fluid grout. Actual yield depends on the quantity of coarse aggregate added.

Shelf Life 6 Months
Shelf life is 6 months from the date of manufacture in unopened conditions. Store in a cool, dry, and covered space away from direct sunlight.
